Paper Quilling is an art form that involves the use of colourful strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up unique designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, etc. Paper Quilling starts with rolling a strip of colourful paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together. There are advanced techniques and different size of paper that are used to create 3D miniatures, abstract art, and quilled flowers among many things. Many quilled artworks can be found on cabinets and stands, cribbage boards, ladies purses, a wide range of photo frames, work baskets and many more creative items.

Rather than work with a readymade quilling kit, you will learn this art right from the basics. You will cut the strips of your choice of colourful paper required for quilling, coil your paper and stick the different pieces together. Your instructor will show you the different shapes that you can make and how to combine these shapes to make an object. You will go home with 2 to 4 paper quilled items and a new hobby that will keep challenging you at every step.
