NIOS Admission stream- 4 for Class 12^th Failed

NIOS admission stream- 4 is for class 12th failed students, who are failed in their previous board exam or who have already passed Senior Secondary (class 12th) from any recognized Board and want to take part admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects for updating their marks. Those students who were eligible but could not appear the Public examination of Senior Secondary level from any recognized Board can also take admission in NIOS On Demand Examination and appear in class 12th exam in the same year.

Under NIOS Admission Stream- 4, you also have an option to change your subject for the examination conducted by NIOS. Systematically every month, NIOS Board conducts On Demand Examination for class 10th and class 12th students. On Demand Examination conducts according to the NIOS ODE date sheet selected by the students according to their preparation. In ODE, students can select the particular exam according to their preparation and convenience of appearing and passing the exam. This will reduce their waiting time to just 2 months, as the On Demand Exam result will announce immediately at the end of the immediate next month after the exam. They need not wait for a whole year.

About NIOS Board

NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) takes conscious steps to provide quality education to the students in India. The Govt. of India has inherent authority with NIOS to conduct Public Examinations two times in the year. It provides Secondary and Senior Secondary level certificates, which are equivalent to the certificates provided by any other recognized board. NIOS is one of the three National Boards while other two are CBSE and ISCE.

Those students who have passed with NIOS board can seek admission in all over India such as in Medical, Engineering. They are eligible for various competitive exams like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, PMT, CA, CS, and CAT. These students can also take admission in professional and academic courses in all universities, institutes across the country and abroad. They can also seek the government jobs whether central or state government. However, for seeking admission in any other institute or university or apply for a job, the eligibility criteria like age, particular subjects, qualifying percentage and other criteria must be fulfilled by the students.

Transfer of Credit (TOC) Advantage

Those students who registered under the NIOS admission stream- 4 will be eligible for Transfer of Credit (TOC) as per the guidelines and conditions are given in NIOS Prospectus. In Stream-4, mark sheet, provisional certificate, transfer and passing certificate will be awarded in the same year to successful learners.

Transfer of Credit (TOC) scheme of NIOS board facilitates the class 12th failed student to upgrade their marks. One more advantage of TOC is that if students have got high marks in their previous board exam in one or up to 2 subjects can get those marks transfer in the present NIOS board examination certificates also.
